Drawing from the overarching theme of energy infrastructure, teachers will explore a broad overview of major microeconomics topics. Teachers will examine how markets work, discuss the interaction of supply and demand, how the government intervenes in markets, and how the concept of elasticity relates to consumption and business production. Further discussion will examine the interaction of consumers and business firms in our economy as we analyze consumer theory, various types of business organizations, and competitive market structures. Throughout the course teachers will also be introduced to powerful digital formative assessment apps and games to use in your classes and discuss dynamic lesson plan ideas and learning activities that will make the topics come alive for your students.
