Workshop Description:

Attn: 9-12 Grade Teachers:

In this economics and personal finance webinar, teachers will compare monopolies, monopolistic competitions and oligopolies. Join us for an interactive webinar where we will see how economies that are based on a monopoly, monopolistic competition or oligopoly are similar but different in terms of their effects on firms, consumers and the scope of governmental influence.

Teachers will be able to:

  • Introduce the differences between a monopoly, monopolistic competition, and oligopoly.
  • Demonstrate interactive approaches to help students understand how these theories play out in the real world.

Presenter: Amanda Stiglbauer, SC Economics
