The Purdue Center for Economic Education is hosting a professional development series entitled, "EconVersations." You won't want to miss the upcoming Why Should Science Teachers Have All the Fun? - Experimental Economics for Your Classroom program on May 10, 2017 from 5:15 pm to 7:30 pm at MCL Cafeteria in West Lafayette.
Purdue Center for Economic Education Director, David Perkis, will show you how to get students involved in economics on a whole new level with participatory activities that you can easily implement in your classroom.
Award winning economics and history teacher, Tracy Franklin, will demonstrate how “Teaching Out-of-the-Box” can enhance student engagement and get students excited to learn about economics. She will share ways to get students thinking critically and creatively, and discuss how integrating unconventional learning materials into the classroom have made her students “everyday economists.”
Dinner will be provided as well as 2 Professional Growth Plan Points for participating!
