Workshop Description: The Council for Economic Education is pleased to offer free professional development webinars for teachers nationwide. The webinars cover multiple topics on how to integrate personal finance and economics in the classroom and create a fun learning experience for your students.

Teachers will learn new methods to use while implementing the Understanding Fiscal Policy lesson "Social Security and the National Debt." This lesson gives students the means to develop an in-depth understanding of Social Security, as well as the tools needed to have meaningful discussions on controversial topics.

Presenter: John Kruggel, economics teacher at Brownsburg High School, Indiana. John is a 2017 graduate of the University of Delaware's Master of Arts in Economics for Educators program. John was the 2016-2017 Olin Davis award winner for exemplary teaching of economics in the state of Indiana. He has conducted numerous economics workshops for the Indiana Council for Economic Education.
