Workshop Description: Attention Teachers of Grades K through 3:

Join the IUPUI Center for Economic Education for Furry Friends Economics: Grades K-3 on January 31, 2019 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center in Indianapolis.

This workshop focuses on an engaging way to teach economics and financial literacy to the youngest students by introducing them to books featuring animals! Your students will learn all about goods and services, opportunity cost, productive resources, and economic wants. The workshop will feature hands-on lesson demonstrations from books such as Betty Bunny Wants Everything, Beatrice's Goat, What Pet Should I Get?, A New Coat for Anna, Clever Cat, Fleas, and The Three Little Pigs and the Somewhat Bad Wolf .

Participants will receive:
  • Ready to Use Lessons
  • At least one of the books featureed in the workshop
  • Professional Growth Plan points
  • Dinner
