Workshop Description:

Attention High School Economics, Personal Finance, and Business Teachers:

Join the IUPUI Center for a Professional Development Workshop, "Distilling Economics." Participants will be provided with creative ideas and easily integrated, standards-based lessons for teaching current events. The big concepts of trade and tariffs will be "distilled" into classroom-tested, ready-to-go lessons that will help you jump-start your classroom instruction when you return to school next year! Lesson demonstrations will include:

  • A Trade Simulation – Does Voluntary Trade Create Wealth?
  • Tic-Tac-Toe Tariff – Free Trade? Fair Trade? Who Pays the Tariff?

There’ll be an economic concepts refresher, and then an Indiana high school teacher will provide classroom strategies and tips for engaging your students in these timely topics!

Don’t miss out! Space is limited to the first 25 participants. Reserve your spot TODAY by emailing tcrews@iupui.edu!
