Workshop Description: Attention Teachers of Grades 2nd through 6th:

YES, you can integrate economics into your STEM subjects in creative, engaging, and standards-based ways, without adding to your already-full plate! The Elementary Economics in STEM workshop is a great opportunity for teachers in grades 2 – 6 to explore ideas and receive lesson plans that are both student- and teacher-friendly. You’ll discover how to connect the economic concepts found in fairy tales to science and engineering. You’ll learn how to make math come alive for your students in practical, real-life ways through the basics of economics and personal finance. And your students will be excited by the online activities and resources they can use to explore economics.

Workshop participants will receive a set of lesson plans created and classroom-tested by an Indiana elementary teacher with years of economic education experience. Every participant will receive ready-to-use lessons and materials! Dinner will be provided and participants will also receive PGP points!

Class is limited to the first 20 registrants. So, sign up now by clicking on the REGISTER HERE link below or emailing Terri Crews! Deadline to register is February 24, 2020.
